Job Summary: The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for generating accurate 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for equipment components and assemblies using CREO and Autodesk Inventor, and publishing them into Windchill. - Creation and PLM release of 3D assemblies, 2D drawings, and technical documentation to Ingersoll Rand and industry standards for new and revised designs.
- Collaboration with Indian and global engineering teams to deliver component and assembly-level design tasks, commitments, and reviews.
- Execution of high-quality CAD support for New Product Development (NPD), Lifecycle, and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects.
- Support for after-market technical queries, part obsolescence, replacement, and Windchill change processes.
Technical Skills:
- CAD experience in compressor and packaging (desirable).
- Fundamental understanding of mechanics of materials and structures.
- Demonstrated experience in CREO4, 6, or 9 with some exposure to Inventor 2019.
